More and more devices are exposing their functionality to the network. If done correctly, the services a device provides to the network should allow

  • control of the device with a networked control point,
  • cooperation with other devices from other vendors
  • use of the device in ways the manufacturer may not have envisaged

OpenHome's first area of work is the OpenHome Audio Visual (AV) standard.
